This session will examine the ins and outs of building and growing a successful State Park/Friends Group partnership.  Together, Travelers’ Rest State Park and the Travelers’ Rest Preservation and Heritage Association (TRPHA) have demonstrated the value and success of a vibrant friends group supporting a park for more than 15 Years.  The session will provide perspective from both the Park Manager (Loren Flynn) and the TRPHA Executive Director (Molly Stockdale) on what it takes to grow and maintain a healthy relationship.How one city came together to create inclusive recreation spaces and programs to serve all of their community partners with innovative active recreation programming.
